    Can beginners crochet Christmas Ornaments?

Yes, absolutely! Ornaments are actually really good patterns for beginning crocheters to tackle. Most of the time they are small projects so perhaps not as intimidating as a big sweater, for instance.

Also, a lot of these patterns use fairly simple stitches. What’s more, if you do mess up on one of them, you won’t have to unravel hours and hours worth of work.

What can I crochet for Christmas gifts?

There is nothing quite so special as a thoughtful, handmade present, right? Personally, I prefer to give (and receive) a gift that was homemade with love and time rather than just money.

Lately, I have been crocheting many of my gifts. Last year, I made these fun crochet socks for my daughters. They worked up very quickly and are easy enough for beginners to figure out.

Other quick gifts to crochet would be dish or washcloths, hats, gloves, trivets, produce bags and just about any one skein crochet pattern.

How do you crochet a Christmas ball?

Crocheting a ball is actually pretty easy to do. You just need some kind of form to work with.

This could be a simple styrofoam ball or a Christmas tree glass ball ornament. Basically, you just crochet around the ball form.

The video below will teach you step by step how to easily crochet a ball ornament.
