Beginner friendly kits for learning how to crochet beanies, bunnies, scarves, blankets and more

So, perhaps you have decided that you finally want to learn how to crochet but you don’t really know where to start.

Or maybe, you already have a basic knowledge but you are not interested in running around trying to find the perfect yarn and hooks to match a pattern?

Well, have no fear, crochet kits are the perfect answer! These kits take much of the guesswork out of finding just the right yarn and hook size.

Most of them are all inclusive and contain absolutely everything you need to make that item.

Many of these crochet kits also allow you to chose from a variety of yarn colors, allowing you to personalize your kit.

    Kits for beginning crocheters

While all of these kits are beginner friendly, please don’t let that deter you if you have some previous experience. These are all great projects even for intermediate to advanced crocheters.

I tried to find a variety of patterns. Beginners probably get tired of making square dish cloths, right?

So, here you will find a super cute crochet bunny, a warm scarf with pockets, a chunky cowl, a rainbow baby blanket, large afghan, beanies and even some adorable dog patterns.

Pssst …Crochet Kits make awesome gifts for Christmas and Birthdays!

What is the best way to learn how to crochet?

Honestly, that depends on the person learning and what works for them. Not everybody learns things in the same way, do they?

For me personally, I can pick up things fairly easily from watching videos and reading instructions and practicing. Others may do better with in-person instruction such as classes and workshops.

What is the easiest thing to crochet for a beginner?

As you might expect, the absolute easiest crochet projects use a simple stitch such as a single crochet (sc) or a half double crochet (hdc) stitch.

They also tend to just go back and forth in rows such as a basic scarf, dish cloth or blanket. These projects don’t have to be boring, though!

You can add interest and texture by using yarns with different colors and thicknesses.

Where can I learn to crochet for free?

One of the best places for free lessons in YouTube. There are literally thousands of videos showing you different stitches and techniques.

Here are step by step instructions on working a single crochet stitch and learning the half double crochet stitch and how to make a chain.
