Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef lean
  • 8 hot dog buns
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1 tbsp yellow mustard
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Brown the ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat; drain the fat.
  • Mix in the ketchup, yellow mustard and onion powder; cook for another 2 minutes until thickened.
  • Place the hot dog buns side by side on the prepared baking sheet; cut them open slightly.
  • Fill each bun with an equal amount of the warm beef mixture.
  • Top each bun with the shredded cheddar cheese.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes until the buns are toasted and the cheese has completely melted.
  • Serve warm.
