What is Eco Printing or Eco Dyeing?
Eco Printing (also called Leaf Printing and Eco Dyeing) is a form of natural dyeing where the colors or natural dyes from plant materials are transferred to another object such as paper or fabric via steaming or boiling.
Eco Leaf Printing was first created (discovered?) by fiber artist and teacher, India Flint who calls the technique Ecoprint. Ms. Flint teaches her unique textile art in workshops all around the world.
Furthermore, she is the author of several books including Eco Colour: Botanical Dyes for Beautiful Textiles and Second Skin: Choosing and Caring for Textiles and Clothing.
