Burlap Wrapped Mason Jar with Fleur De Lis Design
with Free Fleur De Lis Printable
Burlap seems to be all the rage these days and it’s available just about everywhere now. Here’s a super easy way to dress up a picnic table with some ‘shabby chic’ mason jars. The design can be customized to fit the occasion. Makes a great flower vase or use them to hold flatware.

–Mason Jars, Quart Size
–Burlap Garland (5″) wide
–Tulip Fabric Spray Paint
-Fleur De Lis Template – download here
-Sharp Knife or Scissors
-Lace trim (optional)
First, you need to download and print the template. For this project, I used the 3″ Fleur De Lis. Cover the design with a sheet of wax paper and trace over it with the permanent marker. Next, you want to carefully cut out the design from the wax paper.
Paint the Burlap
Measure around the mason jar and cut your burlap about an inch longer to overlap it in the back. Place the template in the middle of a strip of burlap. Now, pick a color from the Tulip Fabric Spray Paint box and thoroughly paint the cut-out. Allow to dry for several hours.
Attach your burlap to the jar with a strip of hot glue along the seam. Add a strip of lace to finish it off.
Check back next week when I will be sharing a roundup of some other fun burlap crafts.
