A Mind is like a Parachute …

“A Mind is like a Parachute. It doesn’t work if it isn’t open.”
~ Frank Zappa

In this social media world, we know more about each other than we ever have before. If you’re on Facebook or Twitter, you pretty much know your friends’ political affiliation, movie preferences and even what they eat for dinner, right? You see the clothes they wear and the people they hang out with. Privacy is just not what it used to be, is it?

Knowing all of these intimate details about people, it’s so easy to look at your laptop and just shake your head at those crazy friends, isn’t it? What are they thinking posting that?? I do the exact same thing. I’m as judgmental as the next person.

So, how about this? What if we all just try to scroll past it? If there’s a Facebook post that aggravates you, just move on and let it go. Allow others to have their own opinion. We all have our own path and each person is entitled to theirs. Does it really matter if anyone agrees with yours?

I love inspiration quotes. Please, share your favorites!

Peace,
Annette

  1. Yes, thank you so much for saying this. It is so easy to get in FB fights or just to start to really feel sad b/c of some of the updates of the people that we love.

    • You’re so right, Renee! I’m sometimes tempted to leave a snarky remark but have learned to just let it go. Not always easy!
